St Comans Primary School

St. Coman’s Wood Primary School in Roscommon is a vibrant, community-focused school dedicated to providing the very best for its pupils. In 2024/25, the school launched a major fundraising campaign to build a new play pitch, with the centrepiece being the exciting “Win a Toyota Aygo X” raffle in association with Dermot Hughes Car Garage.

Customer Challenge

The school needed to raise significant funds while engaging both the local community and a wider audience across Roscommon and beyond. They required a digital-first strategy to maximise visibility of the raffle, showcase the generosity of local sponsors, and drive ticket sales via iDonate.

Services Provided as per the Marketing Campaign I created:

Smart Digital designed and delivered an integrated marketing and PR strategy to amplify the fundraiser. This included:

  • Content creation through in-house filming with Dermot Hughes Car Garage, including an interview with Dermot about the fundraiser and the Toyota Aygo X prize. This video reached over 72,000 views on social media, significantly boosting awareness.

  • A Spotlight Series created to highlight local businesses who generously donated, including Cormicans Art & School Supplies, Topline Wards, Roscommon Credit Union, and Donnellans. Each business was featured through tailored video and social media content, strengthening community engagement and visibility.

  • Public relations support including press releases, media outreach, and local coverage to ensure the raffle received maximum exposure.

  • Social media management with engaging posts across Facebook and Instagram, consistent updates, and calls to action driving ticket sales via iDonate.

  • Branded graphics and video edits to give the campaign a professional, cohesive look across all platforms.
