About Ruth
Experts in Digital Marketing, Content Creation, and Social Media – we are passionate about all things digital marketing, and utterly focused on delivering the best results for our clients.
Smart Digital is a Digital Marketing & PR Agency based in the West of Ireland. Founded in January 2019 by Ruth Mc Court, we combine our love of creativity, marketing and social media, along with our knowledge of the industry, making us extremely passionate about promoting the businesses we work with.
Ruth has over 10 years experience in the digital marketing industry, and has previously worked for digital and B2B marketing agencies, and event management and publishing agencies.
Ruth runs a digital marketing consultancy agency ‘Smart Digital Marketing Agency’ which she set up 4 years ago, and helps clients, agencies and SME’s build or improve their online presence.
Ruth also managed and executed the marketing, PR and fundraising campaigns for a mental health charity in the West of Ireland – Helplink Mental Health (part-time for a period of 1.5years from 2021-2023); organising and executing the hugely successful national sea-swimming fundraiser #Coldtober and raised over €240,000 through for the charity’s mental health services.
Ruth is also a Digital Creator/Influencer on Instagram for her popular blog ‘Fashion Truth by Ruth’ with over 20,000 followers on Instagram and over 10,000 on Facebook.
Through her Fashion Truth by Ruth social media pages Ruth has worked with many brands and boutiques to promote their clothing and services including; Supermacs, Athlone Town Centre, Anthony Ryans, Pretty Little Thing, Nasty Gal, along with Club L London, who dressed Ruth at the 2023 Platinum VIP Style Awards which Ruth attended as a Brand Ambassador of Platinum Expert Hair.
Ruth is also a Brand Ambassador at this year’s Galway Races 2023 festival, and represented was chosen by sponsor Ireland’s West Airport as a Judge at for the 2022 Galway Races Mad Hatters competition held on Family Fun Day.
Smart Digital introduced the ‘Smart Digital Influencer Agency‘ in 2022 to connect brands to Irish influencers. Ruth has been aligning brands to influencers since her last full time role as Head of PR & Marketing before stepping out on her own. Ruth works with influencers of all levels from micro-influencers to macro-influencers, and has helped businesses such as Material World and Hanley & Co introduce and develop extremely successful influencer marketing strategies.
